Working as the Business Analyst within the Revenue Management in one of the largest train operating companies in the UK that runs the West Coast mainline. Working alongside multiple departments within the commercial function and the operations team and front line.Responsibilities include:• Designing, building, and maintaining a large and varied suite of Power BI reporting that help track revenue, reservations, and passenger loading performance for use across the revenue management team and wider business.• Closely managing the reservation and passenger loading data sources by governing company expectations with multiple external providers and creating and maintaining numerous in-house datasets that are used across the business.• Producing performance trackers of new commercial initiatives to measure the success of new projects, and being involved in various projects to ensure technical requirements for reporting will be viable once operational.• Managing and upskilling two 13-month industrial placement students in the business and data analyst field by providing thorough and robust training, ranging from creating complex Power BI reporting to managing their own projects. I am also fully involved in the recruitment of these students and design the recruitment process.
