The CPS does not offer a "traditional" training contract, in that trainees are not expected to complete rotations in various seats. Instead, CPS trainees are exposed to various work areas internally or via an external secondment. Thus far, I have completed work in the following areas:1. The Magistrates' Team via case review work;2. The Rape and Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO) directorate via case triage;3. A 3-month secondment to the Serious Economic, Organised and International Directorate (SEOCID);4. A 6-month secondment to the Proceeds of Crime Civil Litigation Unit (POC CLU); 5. The Yorkshire & Humberside Crown Court Unit via case review work; and 6. The Associate Prosecutor program via additional work I have completed for the Yorkshire & Humberside Magistrates' Team.I am due to complete further Magistrates' Court review work alongside preparing cases for the guilty-anticipated plea and remand courts. In the coming months, I will also be practicing as an Associate Prosecutor until the end of my training contract in September 2024.

I worked within the Competition in Connections Team (part of the Networks Plus Team) as a Paralegal (Fee Earner).In this role, I acted for a variety of independent electricity distribution network operators (IDNOs), electricity distribution network operators (DNOs) and independent gas transporters (IGTs).

This role was a promotion to coincide with my progression from a junior sales executive. Following this promotion, it became my sole responsibility to maintain the hardware sales account of one of firm's largest international clients, in addition to many other international clientele. I was also selected by the company to undergo a funded German language and account management course.
