• Directed operations and supervised maintenance of a $2.8 billion nuclear submarine as Officer of the Deck and Ship’s Duty Officer.• Supervised and reviewed over 70 work packages encompassing complex procedures, engineering drawings and stringent quality assurance requirements ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the Virginia Class submarine.• Coordinated with numerous organizations including Naval Architects as the Ship’s Docking Officer ensuring the ship started its extended availability in the dry dock on time and safely. • Supervised teams of mechanics and electricians conduct operations and maintenance on nuclear reactor plant systems and directed work for dozens of contractor agencies during a major shipyard availability. • Entrusted as the ships diving officer overseeing all dive, surface and ballast evolutions and ensured a crew of over 80 personnel are certified to operate equipment related to the safety of the submarine.

Completed advanced training at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) in Charleston, SC, and Nuclear Power Training Unit (NPTU) in Ballston Spa, NY. The post-graduate curriculum included Math, Thermodynamics, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Material Sciences, Reactor Dynamics, and Nuclear Plant Operations, with written, oral, and operational training on nuclear propulsion plants.
