My art is very much apart of my everyday life. It is in walking down the streets of Chicago, in conversations with friends, in playing with my dog or my cat…I am consistently brainstorming and visualizing new ice sculpture projects in my head as the day goes on. The work never stops for me, nor do I wish it to. I am truly happiest with a new idea, a chainsaw in my hand and a block of ice in front of me. This type of work requires a certain type of person, one that does not mind the frigid air or the wet clothing, not to mention the sad fact that at some point the piece will be melted and gone. The ice sculpting experience is all about being immersed in your creation at the moment of inception. It is about the faces of spectators and admirers, wondering how it was possible to make a work of art out of one plain block of clear frozen water or a brick of snow.Specialties: Winter festivals, weddings, parties...you name it!
