I have been managing and leading personnel for 10 of my 12 years in the military and 20 plus years in the civilian management workforce. I have been an independent business owner of 15 years, served as Office Manager, Operations Manager, Safety Rep., Transportation Manager and Director of Transportation.As a well experienced management professional I have taken on monumental assignments, tasks and training objectives and succeeded to transform each job judiciously. As a Transportation/Safety Manager I created a maintenance program for Truck Tractors, Box Trucks and large trailers as well as company vehicles. Once created, all subsequent years we remained within departmental budget restraints, and showed an overall positive uptick in vehicle reliability and driver retention. This was done with a focus mainly directed at creating and utilizing safety measures and procedures that I created. I believe strongly in enforcing and following safety protocols and procedures and will not deviate from those rules under any circumstances. I have restructured dock procedures and instituted a cross-docking configuration that resulted in a better and more effective and efficient operation. I am very proficient at creating new training programs and safety procedures. As for Operations and Office management, I maintained vendor and customer relationships, bringing in accounts producing more than $550,00 dollars per year in revenue. Other tasks included: Hiring CDL & box truck drivers, office personnel and operations staff. Office Manager tasks include entering payroll, accounts receivable and payable, inventory control, administering disciplinary actions and coaching, continuous record keeping and up-keep, leasing and rental contract review. I am also proficient at using all the Microsoft programs. I feel that one of my strong points is public speaking and presentation. My military back ground has provided me with a positive can-do attitude and positive leadership traits.
