Working as an MSP IT technician. Studying for security+ certification with CompTIA Security+ Cert Master Learn. I graduated from Durham College's Computer Systems Technician program with honours. I was drawn to this field as technology is always advancing which compliments nicely my passion for always learning new information. A good attitude, logical thinking, problem-solving, and futurist skills have helped me excel in learning Cisco networking, Linux, Python, Java, HTML, C++, C#, and SQL basics. These skills allowed me to also excel at troubleshooting networks and servers in my job as a security technician.Being at an MSP has taught me priortization and time management skills to meet SLA times and deliver efficient root cause solutions across lots of different client technology environments. Some highlights have been upkeeping client servers, resolving cloud or VM tickets, provisioning new users/new computers or fixing old computers, troubleshooting Office 365 or Hosted Exchange problems, troubleshooting VOIP, and configuring VPN and firewalls. A highlight of my Security+ studying has been hands-on experience with configuring vulnerability scanning, IDS, VPN, and firewalls. Another highlight would be in college was learning on real Cisco routers and switches in the lab. My best accomplishment of college would be graduating with Honours.I seek to keep on advancing my skill set by getting more certifications and growing in the technology space.
