- Built a python prototype from scratch for embedded image compression using object-oriented programming. Used Laplacian Pyramid based multi-resolution and their residue calculation for lossless image encoding.- Deployed delta prediction to the top layer of the image and used Exponential-Golomb coding to encode and decode the image.- Leveraged variable length bit packing and unpacking along with 2D coding units-based rate optimization.- Targeted 50% compression and achieved 46.19% compression, which reduced bandwidth requirement for over the network economical transfer.
