Engineering Co-Op
Current- Designed and ran a multivariate study to evaluate the effects of test parameters for a product release test in order to maximize test efficiency, precision, and resource usage- Became comfortable with the use of data mining and analysis to generate valid conclusions using MiniTab techniques - Learned about membrane casting theory, and practiced membrane casting at manufacturing scale-Assisted in membrane casting, testing, data collection and analysis for multiple rounds of production as part of a successful new membrane product qualification. This work consisted of many full days in the membrane casting room, running various tests on many different membranes, and developing process capability charts- Communicated effectively with engineers and technicians from multiple teams in order to maximize usage of important testing equipment without impacting production processes. This equipment included bubble point testers, flow time testers, and thickness gauges- Developed problem-solving skills to adapt to equipment/tester problems- Presented key conclusions to upper-level engineers that were discussed and accepted, then met with upper-level engineers and managers to discuss implementation plans
