The International Aerial Robotics Competition is the longest running collegiate aerial robotics challenge in the world. Entering its third decade of advancing the state of the art in autonomous aerial robotic behavior, the competition continues to tackle challenges that are currently impossible for any flying robots owned by government or industry.This year I started a project team at my school for the International Aerial Robotics Competition (IARC).Hold weekly meetings for team organization and planning.Perception Subteam lead.Use machine learning to do object detection and relative heading calculations.Responsible for speccing and choosing drone hardware for our vehicles.Responsible for the processing all purchasing request.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) is a private, non-profit oceanographic research center in Moss Landing, California.Developed workflows to create predictive models for object detection and classification of unlabeled data.Automated the data processing pipeline; extraction and pre-processing of images from videos to help process MBARI's 30,000 hours of video data.Collected results in a paper to contribute to MBARI's institutional knowledge.Gave a talk presenting the results for my internship.
