CurrentI currently oversee Flotek’s Technical Support Teams in Houston, Texas and Marlow, Oklahoma as well as manage Flotek’s oilfield chemical portfolio, interfacing between the company’s sales and technology teams, supply chain organization, leadership, and suppliers. I supervise a staff of managers, chemists, engineers, specialists, and technicians focusing on oilfield chemistry development, analytics, product recommendations, and application development.As a Chemist and Research Chemist, I have conducted testing and formulated products for use in stimulation, remediation, and enhanced oil recovery applications and co-developed Flotek’s prescriptive chemistry methodology that recommends and optimizes oilfield chemistry products with respect to reservoir data and characteristics.During my tenure with Flotek, I have been involved in: - Working with Flotek's Geology and Formulations teams to understand how the properties of water, oil, and rock changes between reservoirs and basins in an effort to correlate the efficacy of oilfield chemicals with said properties.- Conducting chemical surveillance and market intelligence - researching the completion design and chemical usage of a variety of operators in a given region to help understand trends, generate operator-to-operator comparisons, and inform Flotek sales of opportunities to help under-performing operators with our unique, patented chemical technologies- Leading efforts to improve analytical capabilities for oil composition chromatography and fingerprinting, water, and formation material to improve Flotek's technical strength and differentiation from its competitors.- Creating service processes and laboratory procedures including tests that determine optimal chemistry for flowback enhancement in a fractured well, formulating patented microemulsion technology for use in stimulation and remediation of wells, and a method for quick-screening products for use in waterflooding/EOR.
