Leading the grassroots organizing arm of the national movement for ranked choice voting (RCV). Our team has co-founded over twenty statewide RCV organizations. Together with volunteers across the US, we are growing the support needed to win RCV in cities, states, and ultimately, across the country.

Collaborate as the design lead with a group of cross functional Agile teams to design and implement workflow, information architecture, design patterns, and page layouts for enterprise applications supporting the customer service, customer identity and privilege management, and business operations needs of state motor vehicle organizations.

Designed wireframes, storyboards, clickable prototypes, and interactive behavior for new and redesigned features for the AutoCAD Utility Design and Map 3D products. Defined use cases and user stories. Engaged with customers and internal experts through various formats including concept walkthroughs, surveys, and interviews. Worked closely with Software Architecture, Product Management, and Agile scrum teams.

Built, led, and managed a team of designers (as many as sixteen team members) working on Autodesk’s software portfolio for infrastructure industries. Managed establishment of departmental standards around user centered design process and deliverables. Led the planning, assignment, scheduling, and delivery of design work. Defined and communicated goals in order to achieve team delivery of new level of user experience and design quality in our products and services. Worked with team to build a participatory design council that has grown to involve more than 500 customers and subject matter experts as members.Team achievements included the creation of design packages, relating to pre-construction transportation design activity, that graphically communicated new envisioned workflows and included conceptual wireframes. These designs were researched, refined, and validated through input and review from customers and internal experts. This work was used to inform a design vision document which laid out the foundations of the next generation UI/UX framework for Autodesk InfraWorks by illustrating the driving design principles and related business objectives, the information architecture, and the primary design patterns.

Managed the software architecture and implementation work of geographically distributed development teams (as large as thirty-five team members) working on information modeling and geometric capabilities of the Revit product for building design and construction. Worked closely with the Product Design team to define product plan and feature priorities, as well as to collaborate on designs for new and updated features. Continued hands-on software engineering work through individual contributions.The team’s greatest achievement was implementing the Revit conceptual modeling environment and the energy analytical model for conceptual analysis. Other team achievements included curtain systems based on massing objects, managing repeated units through groups and links, advanced generic modeling via adaptive components and repeaters, structural modeling improvements such as direct-editable slabs, and framework level support for the “parts by volume division" construction modeling feature.

Implemented building modeling capabilities for the Revit product, primarily in the area of curtain walls and roofs. Refactored the code related to model update (regeneration) for improved maintenance and expansion, and for ease of learning and debugging.
