As a Project Manager in the Project Management Office, I maintain oversight of large projects and facilitate engagement between multi-disciplinary teams. This involves the development of project documentation, coordination of meetings between IT and business teams and the development of key project artefacts for reporting and assurance.The Project Management Office is responsible for oversight and management of project implementation for the Workforce Australia Digital Platform (WADP). This includes business and ICT engagement, all project management artefacts and their operationalisation, project reporting and project assurance in partnership with the Digital Transformation Agency and through management of an independent assurer.

As a Senior Policy Officer in the Labour Hire Section of the Workplace Exploitation Branch, my team and I are responsible for progressing the Government’s commitment to address issues in the labour hire sector through the implementation of national labour hire regulation. I aid in the development of policy research and direction and provide advice to Government about labour hire regulation and work closely with states and territories, other APS agencies such as the Fair Work Ombudsman and external stakeholders to facilitate appropriate stakeholder engagement.My role also involves working with internal and external stakeholders to progress and implement recommendations within the Respect@Work report, specifically regarding funding for working women’s centres. Working women's centres provide information, advice and assistance to women who experience sexual harassment, taking into account particular needs of workers facing intersectional discrimination. I have aided in development and implementation of this recommendation and conduct policy research and program managment to drive strategic direction.

My role as Project Manager, Research is to assist with administering Cancer Australia’s national grants program – the Priority-driven Collaborative Cancer Research Scheme (PdCCRS) but also provide support to Cancer Australia’s Support for Cancer Clinical Trials (SCCT) program.The PdCCRS is an annual collaborative grants funding scheme which funds cancer research in areas of identified priority. Through the Support for Cancer Clinical Trials (SCCT) program Cancer Australia funds 14 National Cooperative Cancer Clinical Trials Groups and a range of national technical services which support the work of these groups. Working within the National Research and Data team, my role includes:• Contract and grant management for the PdCCRS and SCCT programs, including review of progress reports, annual/final reports and financial statements.• Organising and undertaking the secretariat role for PdCCRS Consumer Training Workshops, grant review committees for grant applications and Funding Partner Meetings.• Contract management for the National Technical Services who support the Clinical Trial Groups, including stakeholder management, review of contract deliverables and project planning.In May 2022, I was elected as the Chair of the Procurement Champions Working Group. This group meets monthly to discuss issues and key topics with procurements across the Agency.

I have recently moved into the Mental Health Strategic Policy Section within the Mental Health Division. My work included the development of the new 10-year National Mental Health Workforce Strategy, which will identify practical approaches that could be implemented by Australian governments to attract, train and retain the workforce required to meet the demands of the mental health system in the future. In addition to this, my role included policy research and design, secretariat for a 20+ member Taskforce and the coordination of Government responses regarding mental health.

I started as a Departmental Officer in the Child & Youth Mental Health Section within the Primary Care & Mental Health Division of the Australian Government Department of Health. CMAX is one of Australia's largest, longest running and most experienced, dedicated clinical trials unit. Our team specialises in a range of early-phase clinical trials, including first-time in human-studies – of which we've conducted more than 100 to date. My role as a Study Assistant is to perform study activities associated with clinical trials to a high standard of quality and in accordance with CMAX Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), relevant regulations and guidelines and as directed by the Clinical Project Manager and Clinical Services Manager. Some of my tasks include organising and preparing source documents for screening and on-study clinical phases, and quality assurance and control of written documents and data.

My role as a Study Assistant is to facilitate the processes of a clinical trial by performing a variety of tasks including taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse rate, electrocardiograms, temperature, and respiration rate), conducting urinalysis, collecting blood from a cannula and direct venepuncture, assessing adverse events, and conducting meal monitoring. I perform tasks in line with ICH GCP.

I was a summer scholarship under Professor Christopher Proud in the Nutrition & Metabolism theme at SAHMRI. My project is based around creating CRISPR/Cas9 constructs to disrupt the gene for MNK2, the main MNK isoform in 3T3-L1 cells. We will ultimately examine the effect of this on differentiation of these cells into adipocytes.
