Functional Genomics team lead, heading a group of 8 Scientists/RAs. Using a broad set of functional genomics technologies to gain biological insights into human genetics data and to help advance Maze's drug discovery efforts.

Team lead for FivePrime's functional screening of primary T cells. Developed multiple in vitro co-culture screening assays via sophisticated cell and protein engineering methods. Identified many novel T cell co-stimulatory and co-inhibitory proteins and evaluated them as potential immuno-oncology therapeutic targets. Project team lead for therapeutic development of multiple of these targets - taking them from early mechanistic validation through in vivo efficacy studies and therapeutic antibody campaigns.
