In my last professional role, I spent over 2 years in a remote position as a Training Experience Designer for a call center software company. I successfully collaborated with IT and software development teams to produce 100+ instructional videos demonstrating user interfaces, software updates, and best practices for remote workers. To better understand the user and create solutions, I attained the Google UX Design certificate. This led me to develop and design a system of video tip popups by working with subject experts to identify user pain points which added tremendous value to the projects. I became curious as to how the software the company used was created. This led me to leave my position to attend a full-stack software development boot camp in San Antonio, TX starting October 2023. Halfway through the program, I and other veterans received an email over Christmas break saying the school was shutting its doors and canceling all current cohorts due to funding issues. Determined to continue my journey into tech, I turned to LinkedIn to research solutions. That's when Code Platoon reached out to me saying they could get me into their full-stack software engineering cohort starting February 2024. In May 2024, I finished this intensive program where I spent over 600 hours completing coursework and projects accessing and creating API's, using JavaScript, React, Python, Django, Docker, and AWS.With my passion for design, user-centered solutions, and technical knowledge, I excel in bringing projects from inception to completion. Throughout my experience, I have developed an innate drive to learn whatever tools I need to get the job done.
