I am a Wind Tunnel Support Engineer specialising in wind tunnel test methodology and experimental aerodynamics. I have a masters degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southampton and 2 years of wind tunnel testing experience in Formula 1.Over the past two years I have become a valuable member of the Wind Tunnel Operations team and wider Aerodynamics department, delivering accurate data analysis and methodical decision making to support aerodynamic development. I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the mechanical and aerodynamic forces at play in wind tunnel testing and their potential to affect data quality, along with practical knowledge of wind tunnel systems. I have also provided analysis tools for the team to use. I am experienced in the use of MATLAB, SQL Databases and Pi Toolbox.A highlight of my university career was through my work designing, manufacturing and testing a modular aircraft structure. Through the development of a Unmanned Areal Vehicle capable of varying its flight envelope through the addition of wing sections and propulsion modules.My extracurricular activities included a stint as a member of my University's Formula Student team (SUFST - Southampton University Formula Student Team), roles included designing, testing, and improving the aerodynamics of the race car. In my second year I was responsible for structural certification of components using Finite Element Analysis and worked in a small team researching the possibility of developing a carbon fibre driveshaft which was sadly curtailed due to the pandemic.
