US Coast Guard credentialed 50 ton Master.Sailing is a hobby that, somewhat accidentally, became a part-time profession. I very much enjoy introducing people to the wondrous joy of spending time on the water under sail as well as the challenge of adapting my instruction for various learning styles and personalities.

Served on a 119-foot luxury yacht simultaneously handling various duties including piloting, navigation, small boat handling, deck, engineering, steward, and galley. With a crew of 3 to 4, a day would often entail everything from troubleshooting diesel and electrical issues, to relocating the yacht to the next moorage, assisting the stewardess with serving our guests luxury meals & making sure their drinks stayed full, and pulling kids around on toys behind the 25 foot tender.We hosted the owners and charter guests in a variety of areas up and down the West Coast including waters such as Desolation Sound, the Gulf Islands, the San Juan Islands, the Columbia River, and the California Coast.
