Supervisor - Daw Travel Office
CurrentThe responsibility to manage the Dubai Air Wing (DAW) Travel Office was assigned to me in February 2016, with a view of setting up travel policies and procedures after assessing the requirements of Dubai Air Wing. My role demands complete supervision of all the business travel requirements of DAW. In the first 6 months of me taking up this role, the first management approved DAW Travel Policy manual was released. During this period, I have also restructured and introduced new travel service providers to reduce costs without compromising on service. An important area of my assignment is to maintain cost-effective corporate contracts with preferred airlines, hotels and car rental companies around the world, and at the same time negotiate and build new relationships, to cater to the ever growing requirements of the organization. I am in constant communication with DAW personnel for feedback on the services provided and as much as possible try to fulfill the travelers needs keeping in mind the DAW corporate goals, always striving for the perfect equation of cost, comfort and safety.Management reporting is a very important area of my work scope. I have introduced a system of submission of quarterly reports to the management and the department heads to keep a close control on the outflow and trend of expenditure, broken down cost center wise. This allows the management to look at the areas that need to be improved on and at the same time compare actual outflow against the budgeted expenditure. My role as a Travel Supervisor requires me to be, at all times up to date with this constantly changing travel industry and look forward to connecting with service providers and others who share the same business interests.
