I am currently the recipient of the Charles Hey Maestre Grant awarded by Fondo Fundación Acceso a la Justicia. This grant will support my project titled "Community Recovery and Transformation through Holistic and Therapeutic Justice."My project focuses on designing and implementing a holistic accompaniment model that integrates legal and therapeutic components. This model addresses the urgent needs of vulnerable communities in Puerto Rico, particularly in the context of climate change and its aftermath. Through this fellowship, I collaborate closely with community leaders and organizations to create action plans rooted in justice and resilience. My role also involves coordinating efforts across various stakeholders to ensure that the legal processes are humane, centered on well-being, and effective in promoting community empowerment and sustainable recovery.This fellowship has enabled me to deepen my commitment to environmental and social justice, allowing me to apply my legal expertise in a way that aligns with my passion for holistic advocacy.

In this position, I supported the organization's efforts to promote effective, equitable, and resilient disaster recovery and rebuilding initiatives in Puerto Rico. I collaborated closely with stakeholders and community leaders to identify pressing issues and develop strategic advocacy campaigns tailored to the needs of the affected populations.I lead logistical planning for an advocacy trip to Washington, DC, to secure support for Puerto Rico’s just and effective recovery. Additionally, I spearheaded the development of a legislative oversight system to enhance our center’s advocacy initiatives, ensuring greater accountability and impact.My role also involved organizing and facilitating strategic meetings with government agencies, legislators, and representatives to address key legislative matters related to disaster recovery, public participation, and climate change resiliency. I contributed to creating educational materials designed to empower communities, helping them advocate for their rights and interests. Furthermore, I maintained thorough records of all advocacy activities, outcomes, and impacts for accurate reporting and continued improvement of our efforts.

At the Environmental Law Legal Clinic, I played a pivotal role in advocating for environmental protection and community rights. My responsibilities included drafting letters and motions that were presented to federal and state administrative agencies, ensuring that the voices of affected communities were heard and considered in regulatory processes. I conducted thorough research to evaluate the compliance of government agencies with environmental protection standards, scrutinizing their actions against the legal requirements.Additionally, I focused on public participation in administrative procedures, analyzing and promoting compliance with legal mandates for public involvement. My work involved actively participating in meetings led by environmental community groups, where I prepared and presented informational materials to educate and empower community members. I also provided guidance on the status of administrative procedures, helping these groups navigate complex legal landscapes and advocate effectively for their environmental rights.

In this position, I assisted the pro bono Program Coordinator with administrative tasks to meet the objectives and activities of the program. I also developed internal guidelines and materials to facilitate the organization of pro bono groups that assist and give free legal orientation to vulnerable communities around the island.

Being a Zumba certified fitness trainer helped me work on the development of individual branding and gave me the independence to develop individualized and group exercise sessions aimed at helping individuals achieve their fitness goals designing exercise routines to increase metabolism and reduce stress levels incorporating proper breathing and body movements.

As part of the inaugural class of FOE's Equity and Inclusion Fellowship, I closely collaborated with the Oceans and Vessels program on various projects and campaigns dedicated to protecting our oceans, the tens of millions of people living near them, and the marine life within. Our efforts aimed to address threats such as oil spills, air pollution, sewage releases, industrial ocean fish farming, and unnatural ocean noise.In this role, I provided substantial support to the sustainable aquaculture campaign, actively opposing industrial ocean fish farming in Congress and participating in crucial public commenting processes. Additionally, I led the collection, review, and assembly of key data and information to expand FOE's annual Cruise Ship Report Card (2019), contributing to the organization's ongoing efforts to hold the cruise industry accountable for its environmental impact.

As a student assistant for international students I was in charge of welcoming and giving orientations to international students who participate in the Intensive English Program. I also lead experiential activities around Vermont, Montreal, and Boston.

This position was for the work-study federal program. I was in charge of greeting prospective students and families at Founders Society's activities and answered questions about the college. I also handled and organized admission paperwork for admission counselors.

During the summer of 2017 I was the front desk and first contact of the Applied Linguistics Department. I was in charge of greeting visitors, paperwork, and administrative duties. I also worked closely with the International Student's Activity Coordinator to welcome and lead two groups of international students, from Japan and Colombia, who participate in the Intensive English Program during the summer.
