The Department of Buildings promotes the safety of all people that build, work, and live in New York City by regulating the lawful use of over one million buildings and construction sites across the five boroughs. With a focus on safety, service, and integrity, the Department enforces the City’s Construction Codes, Zoning Resolution, and the New York State Multiple Dwelling Law.•Supervise, organize, and direct staff members charged with establishing partnerships with community and industry stakeholders •Directly supervise the execution, development, management, monitoring, and evaluation of programs focused on community and industry engagement•Develop and manage outreach campaigns on variety of Department issues with an emphasis on construction safety and living safely•Create and implement comprehensive community engagement strategies and plans•Measure and propagate best practices in partnering with communities to enhance engagement efforts•Maintain interdepartmental partnerships to maximize the impact of outreach campaigns•Create and administer informational materials to share with technical and non-technical stakeholders on new laws, rules, and policies about large scale development and construction projects •Develop, co-supervise, and maintain the recruitment, strategic process, and budgeting, for the DOB Youth Leadership Council, •Develop reports to track outreach efforts•Develop, manage, and approve departmental budget and purchase orders

•Manage and evaluate $8M+ Runaway Homeless Youth (RHY) programs servicing RHY in all five boroughs by conducting monthly administrative, programmatic, and facility site visits •Provided technical assistance in contract management by analyzing, researching complex problems, interpreting agency policies, procedures, federal, state, and city guidelines to assist providers in work performance •Reviewed statistical, budgetary data submitted by contract agencies by examining forms, records, other data, ensuring compliance with mandated guidelines in order to validate proposals•Served as a Master Trainer for the launching of Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) Connect computer system by developing and providing internal and external DYCD Connect trainings•Provided feedback in the development and intricate details of DYCD Connect to provide transparency and enhance effective communication among RHY staff and providers•Formulated monthly site visit reports utilizing agency database•Managed and evaluated $3M+ Cornerstone initiative portfolio that impacts over 20,000 public housing residents annually•Documented findings in a timely manner in order to notify internal and external stakeholders and agencies of any deficiencies or achievements that will impact the programs contract expectations and program quality goals via Program Quality Monitoring Tool, e-mails, Work Improvement Plans (WIPs)/Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), Mid-year assessment, and Vendex•Provided guidance and assistance to contracted programs to ensure compliance within all governmental agency regulations such as DYCD, New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), and Department of Health (DOH)•Reviewed statistical, budgetary data submitted by contract agencies by examining forms, records, other data, ensuring compliance to mandates in order to validate proposals
