I have been working in US taxation for 8 years now, a major part of which includes calculating the research and development tax credits for corporates, in compliance with the guidelines laid down by the IRS. This also involves client interaction who are industry experts, and are involved in the R&D process.The Research and Development credit, or Section 41 is one of the most significant of the U.S. domestic tax credits, providing tax benefits at the federal, state and local level. These benefits are offered for research conducted in the United States and also in over 30 countries offering research incentives. Additionally, I also have experience in Section 45 (ODC credits), and Section 174.As a part of the current team, I am involved in learning new technologies and market trends, data analysis and also internal usage softwares used for the calculation of research expenditures.
