I am a graduate of Carthage College where I majored in chemistry and minored in math before deciding I want to pursue healthcare. I am now a student working towards my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Baylor University. I have always had a passion for fitness and helping others, so combining the two in Physical Therapy seemed like the right choice. I have been around physical therapy for almost two years now, and each point in my journey I have been fascinated by what the body is capable of. Whether that was intervening with patients and treating them, or simply talking with them to understand how others operate and think. I have gained so much experience from helping others and I hope to continue learning and growing with those around me to make a difference.Experience includes working as a rehabilitation aid at Athletico. I have helped treat patients with interventions given by physical therapists. I have also reported back to physical therapists and their assistants about possible deviations and decreased strength/flexibility of patients. Finally, I have been involved in screening patients so I am familiar with paper work and how it is important to us as physical therapists.I am seeking to combine collaboration and compassion for patients to help them demonstrate functional freedom while encouraging them to achieve their physical goals. Fostering the relationships of those that invest in their own health with those that want to see them healthier. Using cutting edge techniques and pathways of movement and growing with the patient throughout the entire process and to inspire others to do the same.
