Dr. Edward E. Dickerson, IV, “Dr D” was the fourth generation of his family to attended West Virginia State College, he received a Presidential Scholarship. Dr. Dickerson then attended the prestigious and historic Morehouse School of Medicine located in Atlanta, GA. .Dr. Dickerson relocated to Fort Sam Houston, TX to complete his surgical internship at Brooke Army Medical Center. Dr. Dickerson then served as the 2nd Brigade Surgeon of the 325 Airborne Infantry Regiment in the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, NC. His operation medical training culminated with the coveted Jumpmaster designation. He then returned to Brooke Army Medical Center to complete additional training in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. He then returned to Ft. Bragg to serve as the Chief of Staff of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at Womack Army Medical Center. While serving his country, Dr. Dickerson was recognized with the Meritorious Service Award, Two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Commendation Medal, and promotion to Lieutenant Colonel.Dr. Dickerson founded and serves as the Medical Director of Cape Fear Aesthetics. He is Changing the Face of the Carolinas combining a Rejuvenating Med Spa, Facial Plastic Surgery Center and Hair Restoration all in a clandestine location. His Otolaryngology practice specializing in diseases of the ear, nose throat and allergy is located in a separate facility. Dr. Dickerson co-founded Fathers Foundation, which provides educational benefit to children and young adults within the Fayetteville community and surrounding areas. Dr. Dickerson is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and active member of multiple medical associations. He presently serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of North Carolina at Fayetteville. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
