Melita PLC offers various services such as cable TV, internet, mobile and telephony.- Responsible for various critical systems and networks, working with a wide range of technologies and protocols.- Focus on Melita Plc's DOCSIS 3.0-capable cable systems comprising of Cisco CMTSs, RF-Gateway and Cisco Network Registrar servers.- DOCSIS 3 modem testing and implementation.- Other day-to-day duties involve UNIX and Windows systems, core Cisco switches, routers and wireless access points.- Troubleshooting, Support and Project Management are important elements for this role.

Being part of Melita's Core Networks team my duties involved: Maintaining the FTP server by controlling download and upload limits, depending on the needs of the FTP client.Adding and editing FTP clients.Documenting of FTP and WEB clients.Adding and editing WEB clients in IIS.Adding and editing A records, MX records and reverse DNS records. Monitoring of various servers.Installation of Ubuntu and VMware OS.Installation of new RAID Controllers.Cabling in the server room.Helping maintain good documentation of clients who have static IP addresses. Obtained experience with DOCSIS Cable Modem configuration.
