As an intern at a non-profit organization, I play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our guaranteed income program through data-driven insights. By analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data, I craft compelling stories that inform quarterly reports for a diverse audience of over 500 public officials, donors, and community members. My work includes using Census data to pinpoint areas facing economic and housing insecurity, ensuring our program reaches the most vulnerable communities. Additionally, after noticing that there was no system for managing and delegating work, I introduced an Asana Kanban board, significantly improving team collaboration and project management, boosting overall efficiency by 30%. In my role, my main focus is to ensure proper delegation of tasks/manage staff workload to promote efficiency and maintaining the Asana board by adding tasks and moving tasks through different stages (To Do, Doing, Done).

First-Year Directions is a course focused on helping first-year students adjust to life on a college campus by advising students on healthy practices/skills such as time management, studying, or note-taking as well as revealing the breadth of available on-campus resources that serve to help students.

I honed my technical and interpersonal skills by collaborating in a cross-functional team to design and deliver solutions that bridge the gap between client and user needs. I applied prompt engineering techniques and user research to develop effective responses for an IBM watsonx chatbot, ensuring it met both client specifications and user expectations. Additionally, I contributed to a high-stakes, 30-minute sales pitch demo, showcasing our work to stakeholders. Through coaching and mentorship from industry experts, I gained hands-on experience in client engineering, preparing me for a future as a trusted consultant and problem-solver.

As an intern at Transamerica, I played a critical role in bridging the gap between users and management by analyzing customer survey data to monitor the performance of various insurance products. By analyzing over 10,000 rows of qual/quant data using Excel PivotTables, I identified key drivers of product performance, influencing funding allocation and strategic reporting. Also, I developed interactive dashboards in Qualtrics to track and visualize key performance indicators like net promoter score and customer effort score, helping drive data-informed business decisions and maintain a customer-centric focus. In my role, my main focus was ensuring that users’ voices were amplified in conversations surrounding product development.

Innovation & Design is a course where students are introduced to design thinking and human-centered design, mostly through UX/UI design and AI projects.

This role entailed meeting with internal departments to reveal business problems and solving them through an iterative process of creating and refining Tableau dashboards to meet stakeholder needs and improve business operations.
