About Neda Anvari
I am a design and technology enthusiast, and I’m excited about my career transition into UX Design. Previously I worked at Khan Academy as an International Content Program Manager and contributed to the launch of 5+ new language sites while simultaneously supporting the existing 50+ language sites. I had a sneak peak into the world of design and fell in love with it after working closely with our in-house Product Designer. I immensely enjoyed being consulted about the next generation translation system, which led me down the path of pursuing a more creative career, helping translate customer problems into real-world solutions.My background in localization has helped me understand the importance of designing with the international audience in mind, and it’s also given me the skill to communicate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders. It has helped me develop empathy beyond just my local community.Volunteering in my community has always played a large role in my life, I have had many volunteer roles: educator, researcher, etc. I feel the most fulfilled when I can help others, and I have gained more empathy in doing so.
