I am a trained engineer and scientist with an eye for detail and a passion for pharmaceutical development, and medical and health education for the general public (@cwbeing on Instagram is all about your chemical well-being)I am currently working with Beckman Coulter (Danaher) on creating and delivering high-quality education in the field of life science and diagnostics. Beforehand, I worked on expanding the educational registry of the only European federation in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Digestive Oncology. Working closely with passionate and dedicated Medical Doctors, Clinical Researchers, Basic Scientists, and related Healthcare professionals to construct high-quality Continuous Medical Education content and collaborating with industrial partners, medical societies, and biotech startups on disseminating and translating scientific knowledge to key stakeholders (KOL) in the field.During my time on the bench (Master's and PhD), I enjoyed diving deep into the drug development process: from the selection of potential drug frameworks to the data analysis, synthesis, validation, and characterization of peptide-based molecules. Using various analytical tools and technologies to understand the Protein-Ligand interaction affinity, we confirmed the potency of a peptide-based inhibitor for PD-L1. With the rise of the immunotherapy checkpoint inhibition of the interaction PD-1/PD-L1, we were thrilled to know that our results would help the ''PD-L1'' community understand this rising macrocyclic peptides drug class. Although biological processes fascinated me, and I grasped in-depth concepts in the field of immuno-oncology, nothing beats the excitement of seeing a clear MS report of your finished drug analysis after long days of HPLC purifications.Training and researching at the Medical University of Vienna/Vienna General Hospital allowed me to contribute to the routine synthesis of radiotracers used in PET/CT and PET/MRI imaging of NET patients. An experience that gave me a sense of responsibility, alertness, good planning skills, and critical thinking capabilities.I have an overall avant-gardist approach to health and medicine, as this rapidly expanding field keeps bringing along groundbreaking research, exciting technologies, and a better life for all (at one's will).
