I was retrofitting a manual piece of pathological equipment with position and force sensors and I was interfacing them with LabVIEW; so that the process may be automated. To measure the position, I opted to use a long-stroke Linear Variable Differential Transducer, and a Force Sensitive Resister to measure the force to gather a sample.
