Fellow At Dfwd Resiliency Design Challenge
The DFWD Resiliency Design Challenge is a three-month training program that accelerates a dynamic learning process, while adding value to designers and companies and creating a more resilient skill base for growth. This program activates designers to explore the tools of the Strategic Design Process through an intensive workshop series and apply the learnings towards a real-world project, all while working collaboratively with a team of other participants and a community partner. Projecting Change : An Augmented Reality Interactive
The project has been showcased at many national and international conferences since 2016 and has been selected as one of the 2018 winning entries for the AIA Emerging Professionals Exhibit. As a conscious studio, in collaboration with the Van Beuren Charitable foundation and the Newport Restoration Foundation, we examined and explored ways to help combat climate change and sea level rise in the Point neighborhood, Newport, Rhode Island, by developing architectural and design interventions to adaptively reuse historic buildings in this altering global landscape. Our exhibit at Newport employed an augmented reality game for the residents of Newport that led them to initiate a conversation on possible collective collaborations with residents, collaborators and professionals in order to deal with the climatic impacts on heritage conservation.New York Times Article: https://nyti.ms/2S2OULm
