I am responsible for the team that sets the Database Strategy for Lloyds Banking Group as well as managing the Design, Engineer and Build of new database technologies in the bank. I am involved on all main database platform DB2, Oracle and MS SQL. On AIX and VMware running RHEL. For the past few years I have been a key player in delivering Database Middleware Automation to the bank delivering significant savings and have had the pleasure of working with the leading experts in this field. I have been proud to present the Banks progress at HP Discover and Customer forums in Europe and the UK. I look forward to the future of Database Services embracing Private Cloud provisioning, PaaS and Daas.

I worked as a mainframe DBA performing general activities mainly production incident and fix. Performance tuning was my area of expertise. During that time I crossed trained to LUW DB2 on Aix. On this platform I added project support to the role. During the merging of Halifax and Bank of Scotland I played a key role in the migration of various DB2 applications. As a result of this experience I played a part in the planning and execution of the Database Merger between HBoS and Lloyds Banking Group.The biggest IT merger in Europe.
