Up until the summer of 2016, I was responsible for Foundation Learning, too (including NEET and hard to engage learners). I have direct responsibility for three Curriculum Managers who, in turn, manage the teaching staff within their area. I see the key aspect of my role to ensure the highest quality of learner experience while meeting the demands of the study programme.The role demands that I be fully accountable for quality of provision and to ensure this I implement and monitor quality assurance processes and performance management of staff taking actions, where necessary. I am responsible for the curriculum planning and review for the Faculty and for ensuring the area delivers quality provision within its budget.I work with all curriculum areas and support teams within the college as the Faculty has a cross-college area that has high priority within the study programme.The role has a key strategic element and I attend and participate in the Senior Leadership Team Meetings.
