Principal Systems Developer for a development team which develops software on behalf of Brookfield Utilities UK. Involves continuous new-build development and maintenance of an Oracle Forms and Reports application as well as stored PL/SQL packages and database design. Responsibilities include gathering business requirements, design and build, system testing, support of user acceptance testing and software implementation and integration with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. Methodologies used include the traditional ‘Waterfall’ approach as well as system prototyping. Also provides support to the business for general business systems issues through a support helpdesk. Other responsibilities include database and application server administration, application migration, management of source code version control, administration of Tracker incident control, and administration of the Oracle Designer repository. Undertakes team as well as individual development projects.

Joined as a Programmer and promoted to Analyst Programmer in July 1998. Entailed developing a new major application for the business. Gained two years development experience using the Oracle family of Database products, primarily Oracle Forms and Reports v.4.5 and v.5. Developed skills in software development and management as well as attaining strong interpersonal and team working experience. Also, solely responsible for developing a Java front-end user interface based on an Oracle database. This included gathering user requirements, design, build and implementation and involved time management skills to reach expected end user deadlines. Completed courses including SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Java.
