Duties include:• Evaluated current procedures and identified labour and cost efficiencies wherever possible..• Management of Warehouse / Supply Operation dealing with customer enquires, operational needs, and planning and scheduling of projected resources and requirements. I also provided Management cover and support for colleagues nationally when required.• Planning of future materials and human resource requirements with other Departmental managers, within tight budgetary constraints.• Maintaining accurate stock records on the Inventory and Subscriber Management databases (SMS), to control stock levels in preparation for regular audits, and preserve optimum stock levels, to maximise company assets.• Identifying staff training needs, and monitoring performance, for quarterly staff appraisals. Recognising talent wherever possible, and motivating staff.• Responsibility for Health and Safety requirements within the warehouse and delivery areas, and security of the company assets and staff.• Maintain and monitor weekly performance targets for the Director of Supply Chain, for inclusion on a national warehouse performance table. • Responsible for Business Continuity plan within the North East region; to ensure JIT targets were met, and on demand requirements could be fulfilled within set Service Level Agreements.• Responsible for the research and development of changes to Nationally adopted procedures• 10 years+ experience of the following software systems; RM Oracle Financial Systems and Oracle 11i (Inventory co-ordinator) SMS and ICOMs – Subscriber Management System 3 years+ experience of Business Objects Reporting tool.
