My role as a service Engineer is to repair, maintenance, and installation of all kinds of mechanical equipment's and After 32 years in the industry one would say I have been very lucky in the career path I have taken. Have worked for some fantastic companies and in that time only one company stole wages when left. so one bad experience in 32 years is very good, sad thing is company was fantastic to work for for over 8 years. When started in motor trade my wages was Just £32 per week on a youth training scheme , so had to work in the cleaning industry as part off a cleaning team. to boost my income, but the knowledge gained helps my customers out even to this date, (so a big thank you to the late Lynn Whitworth ) from initial. so glad one took this path. started at the bottom in the industry and worked my way up Must say when working in garage on training course as a young person for peanuts you do not see it. but later in my life being able to fix and service your own family cars, your mate's etc you will make and save ££££ so if you young reading this my advice is stick to it, long term will pay off. For my management training in the industry i loved it 13 years there till, are office got closed down in Preston ( Bamber Bridge)then had to switch to Leeds was with Rentokill. In that time we merged to Rentokill/Initial.I will never forgot the team and operations manager. John ford (director) then Vaz steel, operations manager who invested so much time and training. also her team of area mangers, strom Phillips, Joan, Jackie. Bob, Shirley. teaching and learning pay role etc then sales Katie. As well as my role, field engineer, scheduler, budget management, machine part's etc.. Best engineer I ever meet was one tooth tye from Trafford Park his knowledge was unbelievable. . This is the team that kept me in the industry and wanting to better myself. All the extra training I have done on management to this date is from above group of professional people. and will one day will not let them down. I have without a doubt over the last 32 years have worked alongside the best company directors who are still operating companies to todate. account management persons operations management people, sales, and so on. so from a buisness perspective and personal there is not a professional person. even friends I could not go to for advice. that means so much for my future customers and future plans.
