I am a passionate and motivated individual with a rich background in many cultural and artistic fields, looking to develop my career as a writer & scriptwriter. I am dependable and sociable, and therefore able to work both independently and collaboratively. At Bournemouth & Farnham Film Schools I worked on many ground-breaking short films, many of which enjoyed festival success around the world. This led me to an MA at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, which I completed in 2012 (with a Distinction). I have written for theatre, radio and film, moving effortlessly from comedy & satire to drama. I am keen to expand, not only my own views on what writing has the potential to achieve, but to help others find their own quintessentially unique voices.

With my Lead Writer's head on, I have devised and written ten new plays for stage, one radio play, and a film, with students from the CLIP Learning Foundry. Freelance WriterStory Terrace Jun 2015 - PresentLondon, United KingdomIn June 2015 I was invited to join the prestigious fleet of writers that comprise the Story Terrace team, who were just in the process of launching their London office. Two months later I was tasked with ghost-writing the memoirs of a 79-year-old lady from County Laois, whose early life had been mired in abuse and neglect. The resultant book, 'Mary Full of Grace', was published in January 2016, and led to a feature article appearing in The Sunday Express's S-Magazine (06/03/16) under the title: 'Memoirs of a childhood abuse victim'. A second book, 'A Harsh Lesson for Miss Put-Upon', concerning the tragic early childhood experiences of a soon-to-retire District Nurse, was published in October 2016. This was followed, in 2019, with the publication of 'The View Through the Valley', a biography of the National Trust's ex-Head Ranger, covering the 32-years he spent in charge of the Lake District's Western Valleys. Books four and five are to be published in 2021, their titles: 'Life at the End of the Tunnel' and 'Over Stones and Mountains'. -
Playwright / ResearcherLiverpool John Moores University Dec 2015 - Jul 2016Liverpool, United KingdomFor six months I was engaged in the process of writing a new play for stage, inspired by the experiences of various members of Liverpool's LGBTQ youth community. The play, "The Assumption Gown", was used to serve as an intervention in schools to gauge the current level of acceptance and tolerability of young people in relation to members of the wider LGBTQ community. Data collected from the play was used in the presentation: 'From Fact To Fiction - Reducing the Adverse Impact of Homonegativity Among Adolescents Through Real-Life Drama' at the 2016 Annual Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Political Psychology in Warsaw, Poland in July 2016. -
