Coo Of Close Asset Finance And Md Print Finance DivisionClose Brothers Jun 2004 - Jul 2006London, United KingdomClose Asset Finance is the principle asset finance subsidiary of Close Brothers Group plc. Member of the senior management team I was appointed to review and improve all credit and risk procedures, back office processes and procedures, source and select a new front/back office IT system and implement appropriate compliance processes in view of new FSA regulations. Member of CAF’s Credit Committee and also had delegated underwriting authority. After 6 months I was asked to take over a “problem child” within the CAF group and was duly promoted to Managing Director of the company’s Print Finance division (receivables book of circa £300mn representing approx 35% of CAF’s consolidated loan book). The business was experiencing significant stress and I was asked to conduct a comprehensive strategic review with the aim of either transforming the business or winding it down. It was decided to strategically withdraw from the print finance market and so I completed the wind down of the business by July 2006.
