I serve as a Sports Counselor with Oreka Fitness, a Mental Health Resource Specilaist with the Chattanooga Head Start program, and a Coach at the McCallie School.My approach to each of these roles is grounded in awareness as the key, primary component. My process and life philosophy are based in mindfulness and a theory which proffers that psychological flexibility can be attained through awareness, acceptance, and intention. Especially in the context of sports, my holistic mindfulness approach to development is often different than what they’re used to, but is effective and enduring for those that invest in the process. For athletes, my aim is to help them address their performance anxiety, lack of confidence, and emotional regulation in the service of enduring sports development and mental health on and off the field.As a mental health resource specialist, my aim is to provide support for Pre-K children, teachers, and parents for any and all mental health-related concerns.Additionally, I am an advocate for more spaces for members of the community to discuss and get support with their mental health through community initiatives and spaces. I am currently involved in some collaborations and am always looking for more.
