Started as a professional developer in 1997 and worked up to the position of senior software developer. Originally began as a Delphi developer before shifting across to C#/ASP.net in 2005. Comfortable developing web, backend and desktop apps, covering all aspects of software development from requirements gathering through to implementation, database design (and implementation, queries, stored procs etc.), release, support and maintenance.Seemingly far too many bits and pieces picked up along the way (including TDD, Agile, mentoring junior staff etc.) I can even turn my hand to graphics, styling etc. - basically I'm a one-stop shop when it comes to development.During the COVID pandemic I relocated to Wales so am now working fully remote.During my time in my current role I've had to build the IT department from scratch and, although still a hands-on coder (which is what I love doing) have had to, at times, run the department, deal with hiring, firing, staff management etc., and making sure that everything runs smoothly across development, support and infrastructure.
