Health, Safety, Security, And Environmental Manager
Current• Direct all HSSE and training programs for this multi-modal, 100 employee, union manufacturing facility.• Investigate all injuries and near misses; provide root cause analysis; assure timely reporting of investigation findings, conclusions, and recommendations; coordinate any worker’s compensation activities with corporate health services personnel.• Develop and implement business strategies for HSSE and training policies and procedures, environmental stewardship, government compliance, and emergency response preparedness.• Provide annual OSHA, EPA, and company mandated training; facilitate interaction with other work groups, establish goals and objectives, and set performance criteria.• Manage, complete annual reviews, and make updates as necessary, of facility’s SPCC Plan, OPA-90 Facility Response Plan, Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) Facility Security Plan, Emergency Action Plan, and Dock Operations Manual and coordinate annual training, drills, and exercises associated with each. • Manage facility’s RCRA Hazardous and Non-Hazardous reporting, handling, storage, and disposal program.• Function as facility liaison with government agencies including all local police and fire departments, local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.• Direct and conduct federally mandated monthly, quarterly, and annual HSSE training, drills and exercises.• Complete state and federal OSHA, EPA, MWRDGC, and DOT annual reports e.g. OSHA 300, SARA 311/312/313, and EPA Air Emissions, along with annual environmental operating permit reviews.• Direct plant’s emergency preparedness and response as Incident Commander in a NIMS/ICS organization.• Chairman of monthly Health and Safety committee.
