At Karger, I was the primary contact in North America for our industry partners (pharma, biotech and medical device companies), providing educational and publishing solutions for medical affairs teams, as well as marketing solutions for product and brand managers. In addition, I worked with industry librarians to deliver Karger journal and book content to company libraries and research facilities.

My team delivered online and print educational and marketing solutions for our pharma, biotech and medical device customers. These solutions included online resource centers/microsites, videos featuring KOLs, webinars, content feeds, article collections, e-learning resources, and other products designed to help healthcare professionals provide better care for their patients. I also oversaw journal advertising and article reprint sales within Health Sciences.As a result of my leadership, the team exceeded its sales goals in two out of the past three years, and delivered approximately $20 million in revenue.

I worked with journal editors, researchers and publication professionals at pharma, biotech and medical communication companies to identify and publish important clinical studies to improve the quality of our publications and drive impact and profitability.During this time I was a frequent speaker and faculty member at medical publication meetings and conferences, including those sponsored by ISMPP, TIPPA, Q1 and CBI.

I played a key role in the launch of the company’s most important new product for the North American market – Remington: The Science and Practice of Pharmacy – by introducing it to assigned accounts and providing feedback to senior management.I also worked with editorial, marketing and production departments to develop new content for corporate and academic accounts, including custom editions of Martindale: The Complete Drug Reference and other products.

Responsible for all sales in North America of online and print front list, back list and customized medical content to pharma, biotech and medical device manufacturers.While at Informa, I completely restructured the department to work more effectively with editorial and marketing, improve customer service and maximize sales. I also hired three new account managers and supervised a staff of four.

Led department to four consecutive years of double-digit growth in corporate sales revenue from books, journals, reprints and advertising.
