As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer I have worked with many manufacturing facilities, from Puerto Rico, Canada, Dominican Republic and Poland. My role is in managing projects with the purchase, installation and maintaining production equipment, facility upgrades, implement and manage new processes to improve quality and production output. I am a major supporter of the San German plant in Puerto Rico dealing with, to date, approximately (5) million dollars of new or upgraded production lines and stand-alone automated machines. These machines produce the internal components of residential circuit breakers. When these projects where completed the benefits included increased output by 30%, and improved quality in critical areas.

My role as an Assembly Project Manager dealt with the management of technicians, programmers, electricians and machine shop personal that built, de-bugged and produced a final running piece of assembly equipment. These machines vary from assembly of Trigger Pump Sprayers as used in Windex or Fantastic for example. Spark Plugs, Bic pens and even Hand Grenades are some of the unique items assembled with the Bodine machinery. I also worked in conjunction with Engineering to recommend changes and improvements with assembly methods and procedures, along with the design function of machine operation.

During my time at Beiersdorf I was promoted from a Maintenance Supervisor to a Mechanical Designer and finally a Project Manager. Beiersdorf is the manufacturer of Nivea skin care products for the distribution in the United States. I was involved with all facets of the business, from the; ✔ Manufacturing of raw materials; - Installation and maintenance of mixing vessels, pumps and product feeding systems ✔ Filling and packaging of bottles and jars; - Purchase and install all new production equipment. - Design layout for all new production lines. - Manufacture in-house custom conveyor system. - Re-design existing equipment to run production of new products . ✔ Final product - Design and install new overhead conveyor system with product elevators. - Install Stewart continuous motion conveyor diverter system. - Incorporate automatic Palletizer in shipping department. - Re-design warehouse pallet conveyor system. ✔ With all of these accomplishments Beiersdorf has grown from a 55 million to a 350 million dollar company during my employment.
