The accomplishment lead to contracts with (then) global communications giants such as MCI. His abiility to grasp both hardware and software concepts and details, and ability to manage a large complex team of over 90 software and systems engineers, was, in my view, just awesome. Despite our groundbreaking success I thought his departure from the company would be devastating to the project, and left myself.
