As a Managing Director in BDO’s Litigation and Fraud Investigation Practice, I oversaw and participated in a number of investigations involving misappropriations of funds, bank fraud and money laundering. I managed various internal investigations related to large-scale corporate fraud and also administered BDO’s Investigative Due Diligence practice.

In 1971, I began as a file clerk in the New York Office. In May 1975, I was appointed as a Special Agent and received my training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. In August 1975, I was assigned to the New York Office, where I worked on a variety of criminal matters including terrorist bombings by the FALN, Croatian Nationals and the Jewish Defense League. In March 1978, I was assigned to the Brooklyn Queens Office where for many years I was a member of the truck hijacking squad. One of the more notable investigations in which I participated during this period was the Lufthansa Robbery at JKF Airport. In 1983, I acted as a primary undercover agent in a highly successful automobile insurance fraud sting resulting in the successful prosecution of 122 individuals. I also assisted in overseeing the federal civil rights investigation of the murder of an Australian rabbinical student in Brooklyn N.Y., in April 1993, in what became known as the "Crown Heights" case. At the conclusion of my career, I was assigned to the Undercover and Sensitive Operations unit, where in 1998, I became a Supervisory Special Agent, until my retirement in May 2000.
