"With the experience of delivering soundtracks to world-wide audiences, and a track record of quietly creating successful companies, Neil Hillman is perhaps one of the film and television industry's best kept secrets."From 2002 to 2012, Neil founded and led The Audio Suite from being an exciting start-up to a multiple 'preferred supplier' status company, and then steered The Audio Suite from being a high-end Dolby theatre facility house into a unique sound design practice, delivering audio solutions across a range of delivery platforms. In 2015, underpinned by his experience of working on projects with complex workflow and delivery requirements outside of the mixing theatre, Neil added 'Sound Consultant' as a service for film and TV Producers; as well as offering sport Outside Broadcast mixing and event Host Broadcaster commentary systems support. OB clients have included the Olympic Broadcasting Services (2012, 2016, 2020ne), Commonwealth Games host broadcasters (2014, 2018, 2022), UEFA Europa and Champions Leagues, IAAF World Indoor Athletics and the Rugby World Cup.Wanting to see sun, endless blue skies and palm trees from his studio windows, in 2021, Neil announced an Audio Suite studio in Brisbane, Australia, offering innovative online audio restoration, editing and mixing for features, broadcast and corporate filmmakers, taking advantage of the time difference between Australia, the US and the UK, to provide remote '24-hour audio post-production'. In 2022, UK programmes serviced by Neil won two Daytime Emmys, two BAFTA awards and he passed the 1,000 IMDb credits mark. Quickly busy in ‘beautiful downtown Brisbane’, he has recently mixed two series from the reality television franchise ‘Love Island USA’, as well as live Outside Broadcast sport such as boxing, cricket, netball, rugby and NRL for TV networks; along with coaching current practitioners, and next generation filmmakers, in sound operations and sound design. In 2024, Neil created the Sound Producer group, merging The Audio Suite (online audio post-production), the Sound for Moving Pictures academy (industry newcomer training) and The Sound Coach (one-to-one support for serious industry professionals taking their career to the next level). Also new for feature film clients is Neil's role as a Sound Producer; a budget-managing, single-point of reference for pre-production, production and post-production audio quality, style and strategy: bringing peace of mind to Producers and Directors of any moving picture production soundtrack - from concept to completion.
