The project included installing conduits, pits and equipment cabinets, hauling and joining copper and optical fibre cables, transferring (cutover) telecommunication services, installing electrical infrastructure, testing, and commissioning the plant. Equipment included excavators, HydroVac trucks, horizontal boring machines, cable winches, and various specialised cable jointing and testing equipment. These projects typically lasted 4 to 6 months, and during which time they provided all the required NBN infrastructure for the town or suburb. Also includes reviewing project design, and scope activities to ensure site works are constructed efficiently and to budget. These projects were throughout Central Queensland and included Bowen, Queens Beach, Bucasia, Eimeo-Rural View, North Mackay, Middlemount, Clemont, Tannum Sands and Boyne Island. For remote sites, this also involved establishing temporary depots and managing logistics. Carried out daily walk-around inspections and audits to ensure safe work practices and a high level of quality. I also approved all completed tasks by conducting onsite inspections and them loading into the project database, along with creating variations. Maintained positive relationships with the client and stakeholders. Where required, addressed customer complaints and defects. Provided weekly updates on progress and quality to the Area Supervisor and client. -
