I am a passionate teacher and my calling is to positively influence each student under my tutelage. As a modern teacher, I strive to effectively incorporate technology into my lessons in order to make lessons interactive and engaging. I specialise in teaching Mathematics to middle school learners. I aim to take foreign mathematical concepts and display them in a tangible way that all learners are able to understand. I believe building a solid foundation in mathematics in these middle years are key to success later.I am also a specialist in teaching middle school English, especially to second language speakers. Teaching in a country like South Africa with 11 official languages has equipped me to effectively teach English to learners from diverse backgrounds.I am also an avid sports coach. I am currently coaching rugby, cricket and football. I believe sport offers teachers the opportunity to see learners in a different setting than the classroom, helping us understand our learners more deeply and also offering us valuable opportunities to develop their character.
