Achievements:• NOWonline - became the largest free to use, ad sponsored national WiFi network in South Africa.• NOWonline – Sold this part of the business and managed the complete change management process, including the training and hand over of management, sales and technical roles.• Atomicat - Managed globally dispersed, multi cultural development teams. (Venezuela, Portugal, South Africa and Morocco)• Home safe – became the first pre-paid, short term travel insurance.

I was the project manager for a Company that specialised in the development, of software for the management and distribution of digital advertising material, customer information and narrow-cast TV.Projects managed:• Clinic TV – deployment of a narrow cast TV station for entertaining and advertising to waiting patients.• Proximity marketing – deployment and management of a Bluetooth marketing solution.• e-Magazine – deployment and management of a daily Bluetooth e-Magazine. • VIP card holder program – deployment and management of a Bluetooth and Wi-Fi campaign in a local casino.

A specialised project management company that focuses on: Turnkey project management; Media and Marketing; Financial Services; LEAN Production and Management; eCommerce and ICT / Application Development; Multi Media and Wi-Fi.Projects managed:• Transit TV - installation a narrow cast media system comprising of 1, 000 digital screens deployed nationally in 16-seater people movers for a Media owner.• Media library - development of a media database for Provantage Media, which included a distribution and content tracking system.• Proximity marketing - deployment of Bluetooth equipment for geo located marketing, which included project oversight of various media campaigns for a large international foot ware brand.• GiG rig – built and installation of a mobile advertising stage with LED screen and sound system for Provantage Media.• Tavern TV - installation of a live, user generated content narrow cast TV system for taverns for a marketing company. • Video wall - erection of a video wall for the 2010 world cup at King Shaka International Airport. Achievements:• Transt TV – was a two year project where I was involved in the end to end implementation, including all business and project initiatives (Hardware, software, logistics, training, sales, market research, etc.)• Cost management – the Transit TV project was extremely cost sensitive, and required detailed vendor negotiations and cost down exercises, and I managed to produce a product that was cost effective, reliable and easy to install.• Transit TV is currently the largest digital placed-based network in South Africa, with recent expansion of the network increasing the audience to over 13 million a month.

A specialist automotive electronics company focused on leading edge digital equipment being installed into vehicles.Projects managed:• Massiv TV – deployment of an in-taxi digital advertising system, using leading edge satellite technology that updated content in moving vehicles.• Paint and window protect – implementation of an American patented car protection film system, including the import of the product, training of local agents, and national distribution.Achievements:• Fund raising - I generated the financial documentation and business plan required to raise expansion capital for the business, resulting in an award of ZAR 46 Million from the Industrial Development Council. • Leading edge technology – needing a way to sense how many people were in the taxi when an ad played, we developed an induction loop sensor and software to solve the problem.

An electronics import and distribution company, involved in custom manufacture and component integration.Responsibilities:• General management: Finance, budgets, stock management and forecasts.• R&D: Design moulds, wiring & brackets, supply drawings, create hardware kits, address safety and warranty issues, conduct acceptance testing, create installation instructions.• Logistics: Design packaging & delivery, oversee manufacturing and distribution, control new product verification and integration, maintain RMA, track serial numbers, manage 24-hr helpline.• Governance: Safety and conformity to local regulations, insurance and liability of products and installers.• Training: In-house and dealer training, set up and manage MECP Program in SA (Mobile Electronic Certified Professional), develop and maintain dealer network.Achievements:• Designed the plastic mouldings and electrical wiring kits for the installation of multimedia equipment into Land Rover, Jaguar and MG cars. The mouldings and wiring connected directly into the OEM equipment of the car, without interfering with the car’s warranty.• Set up and managed the MECP Program in SA (Mobile Electronic Certified Professional)

An electronics manufacturing company, specialising in the manufacture of prototype and specialised substrate printed circuit (PC) boards. I managed the company which operated in a niche market, able to produce high quality PC boards in an extremely short period of time.Responsibilities:• General management: Staff recruitment, development and retention.• Operations management: MRP (material resource planning), maintain processes and work flow, conduct daily progress meetings, maintain equipment, identify and source materials for the manufacturing process, identify bottlenecks and respond with workable solutions.• Financial management: Develop and manage budget, project estimations, maintain records, manage credit control process.• Strategic planning: Maintain technology partnerships, monitor world price trends, identify trends and adapt processes to maintain a technological leading edge.• Marketing and public relations: Maintain price lists and marketing collateral, liaise with new and existing clients, negotiate prices and delivery times, manage queries.• Industrial relations: Union interaction and wage negotiations, retrenchment and disciplinary actions, staff training, grievance procedures, ensure that remain abreast of all labour legislation changes.Achievements:• Was the first company to manufacture flexible and 12-layer multilayer PC boards in SA.• Consulted to electronic engineers in various areas of electronics, assisting not only in the prototype, but also design for manufacture. • Wrote all manuals for the ISO 9000 manufacturing methodology and managed the full implementation of same in the company.
