• Nelson Abrantes got his PhD degree in biological sciences in the Univ. of Aveiro in 2007. He is presently working as a researcher at the Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM) and at the Department of Biology, University of Aveiro. His area of scientific activity is ecology and ecotoxicology and his research interests are mainly focus on the on-and-off-site impacts of wildfires on both terrestrial and aquatic compartments, on the impacts of diffuse sources of pollution (e.g. agricultural activities) and on ecological risk assessment.www.cesam.ua.pt/njabrantes
