At Barclays, I have been working as an AVP - Information Security Engineer since January 2019. My main responsibilities include managing and scaling the Data Protection team to meet business security requirements. This includes managing Data Protection programs encompassing budgets, projects, and stakeholder relationships. I also maintain and administer the security applications currently deployed within the organization's infrastructure, with a focus on Symantec Data Loss Prevention, Symantec Endpoint Encryption, Symantec Endpoint Protection, and Symantec Messaging Gateway.One of my key areas of expertise is creating policies on Fingerprints, Patterns & Phases to identify sensitive data in the infrastructure by performing Data Discovery scans on a File Server, Exchange Server and Database Servers and protecting the same. I also create high-level policies in DLP for Leavers, home printing, and competitors to protect the sensitive data flow. I am also responsible for installing and configuring new DLP Enforce servers & detection servers (Web Prevent, network monitor, endpoint discover, etc). In addition to managing the Data Protection team, I am also responsible for maintaining relationships with all stakeholders and leaders across the organization to influence change and drive consistency with Security Operations (SecOps) standards. I am also responsible for managing security processes and technologies, including Threat Analysis, Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, Vulnerability Assessment, Security Monitoring, and Compliance. I have been working on handling POCT for Microsoft Purview. I am also responsible for enabling the Secure ICAP, Automating the DLP health check process, Handling the upgradation of Endpoint, Network DLP & DLP data at rest platforms from lower version to higher version, identifying threats to cloud systems, developing new features to meet security needs, and building, maintaining, upgrading, and continuously improving cloud-based systems.

At Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS), I served as an Associate Projects (Security Analyst) from November 2017 to December 2018. During my tenure, I was responsible for maintaining and administering the security applications currently deployed within CTS's current infrastructure (Antivirus, DLP, FIM, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Assessment).One of my key responsibilities was to draft policies on Fingerprints, Patterns & Phases to identify sensitive data in the infrastructure by performing Data discovery scans on a File Server, Exchange Server and Database Servers and protecting the same. I also created high-level policies in DLP for Leavers, printing / LAN (Non-usual hours), and competitors to protect the sensitive data flow.I also collaborated and provided oversight and guidance for periodic security assessments to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and alignment with best practices. I also handled the Upgradation of Endpoint, Network DLP & DLP data at rest platforms from lower version to higher version. Additionally, I performed the Upgradation of SEPM and SMG from lower versions to higher versions and handled the Upgradation of Symantec Endpoint Encryption from a lower version to a higher version.I was also responsible for defining actions and implementing improvements in the detection, escalation, containment and resolution of security incidents including policies, procedures, and run books. My deep understanding of PCI DSS, and PCI CPoC compliance management was an added advantage to my role. Overall, my experience at CTS helped me to develop a strong foundation in information security and provided me with valuable hands-on experience that I have been able to apply in my later roles.

During my tenure at IBM, I was responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the security infrastructure for IBM India. I was part of the team that was responsible for ensuring the security of IBM India's IT environment which includes servers, networks, and applications.One of my key responsibilities was to work closely with the IT department to design and implement security controls that met the security needs of the organization. I also worked on the design and implementation of security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.I also handled the incident response process, incident management and incident reporting. I was also responsible for performing security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in the organization's IT environment. I also provided guidance and training to employees on security best practices and policies. Additionally, I was responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 and SOC2.My experience at IBM India helped me to develop a strong foundation in information security and provided me with valuable hands-on experience that I have been able to apply in my later roles. I was part of some high-profile projects that helped me to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the field of information security.
