Contracted to:• Maintaining the relationship with the Governor and Lt. Governor and their respective staff in matters related to the CA SBDC.• Managing the relationships with key Legislators and requisite staff, including but not exclusive to: The Senate President Pro Temp, Assembly Speaker, key committee Chairs and Vice Chairs in both houses.• Work with the California SBDC Regional Directors to implement an “in-district” legislative engagement strategy.• Actively representing/engaging the California SBDC program to various public and private advocacy committees such as the Inter-Agency Small Business Council and the working group of the California State Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy to address annual, semi-annual, and short term strategies that align state resources toward small business needs; • Promoting the use and recognition of SBDC resources to advocacy committees and coordinating opportunities for potential alignment; • Engaging and educating stakeholders on SBDC programs; • Provide event and project management, and engage participation of California SBDC in Sacramento, educating various constituencies about the SBDC program; assisting the Regional Directors with speaking engagements and testimony upon request; • Supporting the Regional Directors in efforts to develop and implement a unified approach regarding statewide initiatives and activities; • Maintaining and growing statewide partnerships with statewide ethnic chambers, economic development organizations, and business associations.

The newly formed California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) is charged with administering many of the functions of the functions that used to be facilitated by the State Board of Equalization (BOE). As a Regional Liaison Manager, it is my responsibility to remain forward-facing to the groups and organizations that have a direct nexus with the taxpayer and business owner in the State of California, providing critical access to information and resources which encourage voluntary compliance. Some of the counties I cover are: Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Amador, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus.

The eight-member Transportation Commission reviews and makes recommendations to the City Council related to the community’s transportation needs. The Commission deals with issues related to four primary areas: public transit; traffic circulation; bikeways and pedestrian facilities; and transportation systems management. It is also a forum to provide public input for issues related to transportation. Each Commissioner is appointed by the City Council.The Transportation Commission meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 311 Vernon Street, Roseville.

Serving over 3.1 million residents in my territory, I am the community liasion for the Board of Equalization (BOE) in the greater Sacramento region, represented by Senator George Runner (Ret.), and the constituents of the First District of the BOE. Part of my responsibility is to expand and facilitate taxpayers outreach throughout the region, working collaboratively with public and private partners, as well as key opinion leaders. Effectively grew RPPI market share YOY. Government Affairs Committee member with the Folsom Chamber of Commerce and executive board member of the Folsom Tourism Bureau.

Member of the elected Board of Trustees. Managed a staff/Senate of 20 with an annual budget of $250,000. Appointed by the State Chancellor to help create a statewide student senate and constitution. Oversaw other tasks such as balancing the $60 million dollar budget while lowering expenses, meeting with other SB Presidents/Trustees on a monthly basis, and created coalition of union leaders.
