Contracted to:• Maintaining the relationship with the Governor and Lt. Governor and their respective staff in matters related to the CA SBDC.• Managing the relationships with key Legislators and requisite staff, including but not exclusive to: The Senate President Pro Temp, Assembly Speaker, key committee Chairs and Vice Chairs in both houses.• Work with the California SBDC Regional Directors to implement an “in-district” legislative engagement strategy.• Actively representing/engaging the California SBDC program to various public and private advocacy committees such as the Inter-Agency Small Business Council and the working group of the California State Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy to address annual, semi-annual, and short term strategies that align state resources toward small business needs; • Promoting the use and recognition of SBDC resources to advocacy committees and coordinating opportunities for potential alignment; • Engaging and educating stakeholders on SBDC programs; • Provide event and project management, and engage participation of California SBDC in Sacramento, educating various constituencies about the SBDC program; assisting the Regional Directors with speaking engagements and testimony upon request; • Supporting the Regional Directors in efforts to develop and implement a unified approach regarding statewide initiatives and activities; • Maintaining and growing statewide partnerships with statewide ethnic chambers, economic development organizations, and business associations.
