Governor and their respective staff in matters related to the CA SBDC.• Managing the relationships with key Legislators and requisite staff, including but not exclusive to: The Senate President Pro Temp, Assembly Speaker, key committee Chairs and Vice Chairs in both houses.• Work with the California SBDC Regional Directors to implement an “in-district” legislative engagement strategy.• Actively representing/engaging the California SBDC program to various public and private advocacy committees such as the Inter-Agency Small Business Council and the working group of the California State Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy to address annual, semi-annual, and short term strategies that align state resources toward small business needs; • Promoting the use and recognition of SBDC resources to advocacy committees and coordinating opportunities for potential alignment; • Engaging and educating stakeholders on SBDC programs; • Provide event and project management, and engage participation of California SBDC in Sacramento, educating various constituencies about the SBDC program; assisting the Regional Directors with speaking engagements and testimony upon request; • Supporting the Regional Directors in efforts to develop and implement a unified approach regarding statewide initiatives and activities; • Maintaining and growing statewide partnerships with statewide ethnic chambers, economic development organizations, and business associations. -

Each Commissioner is appointed by the City Council.The Transportation Commission meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 311 Vernon Street, Roseville. -
