I joined Bull Portuguesa in October 1998 as Junior programmer in the Payment Systems Team, where I started in a project at BP Portugal. By June 1999 I was already responsible for the technical decisions in the project. In September 2001 I was named Team leader of the .Net development Team.In April 2003 I accepted the challenge of a small innovative company, Armazém de Dados, as a Business developer for the .Net based solutions and solutions that used POS equipments.In April 2004, I accepted Bull Portuguesa’s invitation to help in the reorganizing of the Payment Systems Business area as a Team Leader in the Payment Systems development team, identifying a new POS supplier, re-creating the development team and the certification process of the new POS models in SIBS payment network, without losing market share were the biggest challenges we faced.In October 2010, I accepted the role of senior consultant for the Payment solutions business unit, at GFI Portugal (acquired Bull Portuguesa in 2007) where I worked, in addition to the POS certification and development team leading, in innovation projects and projects in African Portuguese Speaking Countries.In June 2013 VeriFone acquired the Payment Solutions business unit of GFI Portugal, creating VeriFone Portugal. At Verifone, until December 2018, while acting as Project Leader, I participated in the company transformation to Agile methodologies.In February 2019, I embraced a new challenge in Castles Technology Spain as a Senior Developer for Payment applications in EFT terminals.Specialties: Software engineering, team leading, solution design, payment systems and Agile methodology
